Jeff Brandes

Republican Sen. Jeff Brandes has represented Senate District 22 from 2012 to 2016 and Senate District 24 since 2016. The Florida native was born and raised in St. Petersburg. He joined the United States Army shortly after graduating high school and attended Marion Military Institute in Marion, Alabama, Florida Southern College and Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tennessee, graduating with a degree in Business Administration. Brandes is known as a pragmatic libertarian legislator well-versed in innovative technology in transportation. He led the way for Florida to become a leader in autonomous vehicle technology. Other specialties include insurance issues and medical marijuana and free-market values.
